I am twenty nine. And today I was beautiful. You know those days when you walk around, and you're sure that every man you pass is watching you walk past because you look THAT good. Well today was that day.
There were some important people coming to work today, so I put aside the slacks and shape-shifting sweaters, pulled out the new dress and the heels, did my hair and make up, and walked out of the house with the confidence of a woman who could be a part time model (but she'd probably still have to keep her normal job).
Here's the tally: three "Wow, you look beautiful today"(Okay, one of those three was a woman, but I'm still counting it), two whistles (And they weren't ethnic...they were white guys. I never get white guy whistles), three double takes (yes, I looked and I counted), and two guys going awkwardly out of their way to talk to me about something pointless (I like to think they were trying to think of an excuse to come talk to me).
Yes, it was one of those days.
ye-UH!!! good work Kels. were most of those men attractive--cause if they weren't - stuff like that gives me the creepers.
ReplyDelete"I never get white guy whistles." Haha, I love you!
ReplyDeleteNice. I love it.
ReplyDeleteNice reference to the conchords! White guy whistles are rare, but you are on the East Coast, closer to those crazy New Yorkers. You always look stunning to me Kel-Jel. Seriously, you always look well put together. But I'm happy you had a day like this. I love that feeling but would rather have the feeling with out the attention.
ReplyDeleteYou rock!
ReplyDeleteYou do look better than when you were nineteen. P.S. I hope no ethnic people are reading your racist blog because they will probably take offense.
ReplyDeleteYou are ALWAYS beautiful.....no matter what age you are 'wearing'! :)
ReplyDeleteMan, I want a white guy whistle... scratch that, I actually would just like a whistle.
ReplyDeleteI love those days! I wish I got them as often as you do!
ReplyDeleteI think you should have included a photo with this post. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm having withdrawals! I need to hear more from your journey to wedded bliss :-)
ReplyDeleteWhite guy whistles are SO much harder to get than ethnic whistles. KUDOS Kelly Kitchen!
